The vivarium provides an important research component to the College and provides animal models for biomedical research, some of which is supported by NIH funding.

iDesign worked closely with the campus veterinarian, technicians and animal care staff to develop conceptual layout options associated possible phasing and a small, medium and large funding/budget strategies.

iDesign proposed plan provided solutions that improve the function of the vivarium, update to current AAALAC standards, clarify clean/dirty flows, separate personnel from animal spaces, add new dedicated systems, decouple from the existing building systems and allow the adjacent building spaces to remain operational.
